Black Eyed Peas - Elephunk - 2003


Elephunk is the third album by the Black Eyed Peas, released in 2003. It was their first commercially-successful album and their first album to feature their new female vocalist, Stacy Ferguson (a.k.a. Fergie). Singles released from Elephunk included "Where Is the Love?", "Shut Up", "Hey Mama" and "Let's Get It Started". Many of its songs became popular through being featured in advertisements; "Let's Get Retarded" was redone and renamed "Let's Get It Started" for the commercials for the 2004 NBA Playoffs; the song "Hands Up" was featured in the films Rebound and Taxi, while "Hey Mama" became something of a plot point within Garfield: The Movie. "The Boogie That Be" was also featured in several iPod commercials, as well as being featured in the film The Rundown (starring The Rock).

The album title, Elephunk, is a portmanteau of elephant and funk. Their song "Anxiety" was featured on WWE WrestleMania 21 for the Xbox and MX vs. ATV Unleashed for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PSP.

Pleasure Victim was the second, gold-certified studio album by the American New Wave band Berlin, released in 1982. The singles from this recording were "Sex (I'm A ...)", followed by "The Metro" , and "Masquerade". Pleasure Victim is often listed as being an EP album, although it is uncertain if seven songs constitutes an EP. Backstreet Boys - Black & Blue - 2000


Black & Blue is the follow-up album to the Backstreet Boys' 1999 studio release Millennium. It is their fourth album (but their third U.S. album release). The 13-song selection features five songs co-written by members of the group, plus two songs written by all five members. In the United States, Black & Blue sold 1.6 million discs in its first week of release[1], making them the first group in Soundscan history to have million-plus first-week sales with back-to-back albums. The album was the eighth highest-selling album [2] in the US in 2000. The album achieved platinum status in over 30 countries and gold certification in 10 regions around the world during its first week of release. Despite the excellent sales, Black and Blue never matched up to the hype that their first two albums made. Millennium is an album by American pop music group Backstreet Boys. It broke numerous records, and is their biggest success to date. It was a highly anticipated follow-up to both their United States debut album, and their second internationally released CD. It was their first record to be released in both the U.S. and internationally in the same form, at the same time. In the United States, it holds the record for most shipments in one year, with 11 million in 1999. It was nominated for five Grammy Awards and spawned four Top 40 singles, including worldwide smash hit single "I Want It That Way." Millennium set a record for most albums sold in its debut week. The Best Damn Thing is the third studio album by Canadian pop punk singer/songwriter Avril Lavigne, released on April 13, 2007. It made its radio debut on Ottawa radio station HOT 89.9 at 6:00 p.m. on April 14.

Let Go is the debut album by Canadian Pop Rock singer Avril Lavigne, released on June 4, 2002.[5] It was highly successful, received four Grammy nominations for this album and its singles, being certified platinum six times in the United States, five times in United Kingdom, seven times in Australia, four times in New Zealand, and once in Japan. Audioslave - Revelations - 2006


Revelations is the third and, with the departure of lead vocalist Chris Cornell in February 2007, final studio album by American rock band Audioslave. The album was released on September 5, 2006 in the U.S., and a day earlier in the UK (see 2006 in music). Brendan O'Brien, who has produced or mixed the albums of numerous major rock acts of the past twenty years, including Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, The Offspring, Pearl Jam, Incubus, and Bruce Springsteen, was at the helm for this record. Audioslave - Out Of Exile - 2005


Out of Exile is the second album by American rock band Audioslave, first released on May 23, 2005 internationally and a day later in the United States. It is the band's first and only #1 album on the Billboard 200. Four singles were released: "Be Yourself", "Your Time Has Come", "Doesn't Remind Me," and "Out of Exile".

Critical response was mostly warm, highlighting the fact that the band was working towards defining its own sound, as opposed to just Rage Against the Machine fronted by Chris Cornell. As drummer Brad Wilk explained: "Audioslave the band has arrived. The first record was people from two other bands with history attached. I don't feel that with this record."[1] The album was chosen as one of Amazon.com's Top 100 Editor's Picks of 2005. "Doesn't Remind Me" was nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance at the 2006 Grammy Awards.

Many songs from Out of Exile were performed at the concert the band held in Cuba on May 6, 2005, 3 weeks prior to the release date, making it the first live performances of the tracks from this album, documented on the Live in Cuba DVD released in October of the same year.

The album's music is strongly reminiscent of Rage Against the Machine, with Chris Cornell providing his familiar classic rock-esque wails and croons to the songs. Forever Young
was the debut album released by West German synthpop/rock group Alphaville on September 27, 1984, by Warner Music Group. The album is Alphaville's most critically-acclaimed album, and an estimate 2,000,000 copies have been sold. The song, Forever Young, was not initially a popular hit with music listeners[citation needed], but has since become a standard pop song of the 1980s. The ABBA Generation is the first A*Teens album. It is a modern and upbeat cover album, consisting of 11 well-known ABBA songs.

Recorded in Sweden in early 1999, was released later that year in Europe, Canada, Latin America and Asia and in 2000 in the United States. It spawned 4 hit singles, including the Swedish number-one "Mamma Mia".
